Music in the Meadow 8: August 20, 2017

Music in the Meadow 8 will be held at The Grounds (2012 photos are of the event the next to last time it was at The Grounds) in Sumpter, where there is a covered pavilion for musicians and audience and plenty of parking. Parking is accessed from Ibex Street between Austin and Ash.

MiM is only one day this year, Sunday, August 20. (This is the day before the total eclipse of the sun.) Approximate performance times are (dependent on set-up speeds):

Salt Lick #39 12 – 2 (classic country)

Image may contain: 1 person, on stage and playing a musical instrument

(last year with a few friends)

Wallulah Junction 2:45 – 4:30 (brass trio)

Image may contain: one or more people, people on stage, people playing musical instruments and outdoor

(yes, I see the two guitars and the keyboard, none of which are brass)

Frank Carlson 5:15 – 8:15 (classic country, classic rock)

Image may contain: 1 person, playing a musical instrument, sitting, standing, hat, guitar and outdoor

This event is a fundraiser for Sumpter Valley Community Volunteers (SVCV). They will be selling bratwursts, hot dogs, and hamburgers, in addition to taking donations for admission.

SVCV’s mission is to provide resources for organizing and promoting fundraising events and work parties that benefit and enhance the quality of life for residents of the historical Sumpter Valley area.
